- The batting team can select 1 bonus over out of the 8 overs to set a target.

β Eligibility Criteria
- π§βπΌ Corporate Participation: Open to all employees representing corporate organizations.
- π’ Multiple Teams: Multiple teams from the same corporate organization may register for the tournament.
- π«Single Team Rule: A player may only represent one team and cannot play for multiple teams.
- π§οΈRain Contingency: In case of rain, the tournament will be rescheduled to the following week from the originally defined dates.
π€Code of Conduct:
- π§βπΌ Professional Behavior: All participants are expected to exhibit professional conduct throughout the tournament.
- π«Prohibited Actions: Use of abusive language, violence, or non-compliance with tournament rules will result in immediate disqualification.

Box Cricket Scoring Rules

Ways a Player Can Be Out
Mode of Dismissal | Description |

Bowled | Ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails. |
Hit Wicket | Batter hits their own stumps with bat or body during play. |
Run Out | Batter is outside the crease when the ball hits the stumps during a run. |
Stumped | Wicketkeeper dislodges the bails while batter is outside the crease. |
Caught Out | Fielder catches the ball directly on the full (no bounce, no wall assist). |
Obstructing the Field | Batter intentionally blocks the ball while itβs headed toward the stumps. |
Handling the Ball | Batter intentionally touches the ball with their hand (not holding the bat). |
LBW | β Not considered in box cricket. |
Box Cricket Bowling Rules
Rule | Description |
---|---|
Bowling Style | Overarm bowling is allowed. |
Underarm Bowling | β Not allowed. |
Fast Bowling | β Not allowed. Only medium pace deliveries are permitted. |
Step Limit | Bowlers can take a maximum of one step forward while delivering the ball. |
Speed Monitoring | If the bowler bowls at a speed higher than medium pace, it will be ruled a no ball. No warnings will be given. |
No Ball Consequence | Declared 1 run, but no free hit is awarded. |
Over Limit Per Bowler | In 8-over matches, max 2 overs can be bowled by 2 players. |
Over Time Limit | To keep the match on schedule: Each over must be completed within 3β4 minutes. Delay will cause penalties |
Common Rules (Box Cricket)
Rule | Description |

No Last Man Batting | Once the second last player is out, the innings ends. |
Maximum Fielders | Only 7 fielders (including bowler and wicketkeeper) allowed on the field. |
Field Placement Limit | Only 2 fielders (excluding bowler) may stand outside the bowling crease. |
Minimum Players to Start Match | A team must have at least 5 players to start the match. Less than that = disqualified. |
Late Arrival | If a team arrives 10+ minutes late, they will be disqualified, and the opponent will be awarded the win. |
Net Contact While Fielding | It is allowed for fielders to touch the nets while catching or fielding. However, they must not touch the nets in advance or climb the nets in any situation. |
Climbing the Net | Strictly prohibited. Any player seen climbing the net will face disqualification. |
Declared Runs vs Net Contact | If the ball hits the net, declared runs apply regardless of fielderβs actions. |
Types of Bats Allowed | Only regular tennis cricket bats are allowed. Plastic bats and season (hardball) bats are not allowed. |
Umpireβs Decision | Final and binding in all situations. No disputes will be entertained. |
Substitute Player Rules

Bonus Over Rule (Power Over / Risk Over)
Rule | Description |
---|---|
When Can It Be Taken | Batting team can choose any 1 over out of 8 as their Bonus Over. |
Declaring the Target | Batting team must declare a target (X runs) before the bonus over starts. |
If Target is Achieved (Exactly or More) | Only the targeted X runs will be doubled (2X). |
If Target is Exceeded | Extra runs (above target) are counted normally, not doubled. |
If Target is Not Achieved | The over is treated as a maiden β zero runs awarded for the entire over. |
Wickets in Bonus Over | Wickets count as normal, but have no impact on run calculation. |
Example | π’ Team targets 10 runs and scores 10 β Gets 20 runs. π’ Team targets 10 and scores 13 β Gets 23 runs (20 for doubled target, 3 extra). π΄ Team targets 12 and scores 9 β Gets 0 runs for that over. |
