Tournament Schedule
- Tournament will be conducted on weekends and this will be a full day event.
- Each participant will have to play many knockouts on the same day to reach semi finals.
- Timings of the tournament will be from morning 8 AM to evening 6 PM.
- Singles & Doubles will be played among individual based on lucky draw.
Tournament Rules
- Maximum Time limit for each match is 15 minutes.
- When placing the striker on the board to shoot, it must touch both baselines, either covering the end circle completely or not touching it at all. The striker may not touch the diagonal arrow line.
- Shooting styles can vary between players, but all shots must involve flicking the striker and not pushing it. While players may orient their bodies for aiming, they must remain seated for the shot.
- Each team or player is assigned a color and can only pocket that color of carrom men.
- Playing lobby is not allowed.
- You will play best of 3 matches with your opponent, whoever wins 2 matches goes to next round.
- If a piece jumps off the board, it is placed on the center spot. If pieces land on end or are overlapping, they are left that way.
- If a player sinks an opponent’s piece, that player loses a turn. If a player sinks an opponent’s last carrom piece they lose the board
- If a player sinks their last piece before the queen, they lose the board.
- Pocketing the queen must be done when you are left with only one coin, queen should be followed by pocketing another coin on the same strike.
- Whoever clear the queen and the last carrom coin wins the board.
- If the Player pockets the piece followed by the Striker inside the pocket, then 2 pieces will be placed on the board and the player will still have the turn.
- If the Player pockets the Queen followed by the Striker inside the pocket, then Queen and 1 piece will be placed on the board and the player will still have the turn.
- You can pocket the queen at any time and then pocket all of your pieces to finish the game, if you don’t finish the game then Queen will again be placed in the center of the board.
- In case of Foul, your one piece can be placed anywhere by the opponent in the center but he / she cannot make a direct pair with that piece.
- When your opponent is left with only one piece, you cannot directly hit his / her last piece, it will be considered foul and the opponent piece will come back to its original place and you will lose your turn.
- Lastly, In a best of 3 round match. If you lose or win 2 rounds out of 3 rounds in a match, as the result is already finalized, you would not be allowed to play 3rd round.
